Your Thanksgiving Day TV Schedule
It's perhaps the greatest day of the year. Football, Food, Family. Here is what you'll (I'll) be watching this Thursday.
9am-Noon: MACY'S DAY PARADE
Look for my favorites: Woody the Woodpecker and Spider-man. Also Cam Neely and Mike Ritcher will be on a float promoting the next day's Bruins-Rangers game.
12-2pm: THE NATIONAL DOG SHOW
You can watch 30 mins uninterrupted of this bad boy before switching back and forth with what's next. But who doesn't love a dog show? Give me the Working Class every time.
12:30pm: Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions
Big NFC North match up here, but an even bigger fantasy football game. Calvin Johnson, Reggie Bush, Matt Stafford, Eddie Lacy, Jordy Nelson, Jarrett Boytkin, and Matt Flynn?
4:30pm: Oakland Raiders @ Dallas Cowboys
Not the best game, but it's still football. Maybe eat during some of this one.
8:30pm: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens
Two disappointing teams go at it with playoff chances really on the line. The winner is guaranteed anything but the loser is probably done.
9:30: Lady Gaga & The Muppets Holiday Spectacular
I'm no Lady Gaga fan, not even close. But as you know, I'm in on anything Muppets. Pair them with Stalin and I'm watching. Hopefully it's not too much Gaga and friends.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM THE SPORTS BRIEF!

Celtics Fans Guide to Watching the 2013-14 Season
Brought to you by The Rich Keefe Project.
How should Celtics' fans handle this bizarre season? Root for a loss every night?Hope they make the playoffs? Here is a friendly guide on how to "enjoy" this season.
There you have it. Good luck this year.
How should Celtics' fans handle this bizarre season? Root for a loss every night?
- Is Brad Stevens the coach for the future? The former Butler coach signed at 6-year deal. Does he have the respect of the players, do they play hard?
- The development of the young players, Avery Bradley, Jared Sullinger, Kelly Olynyk, Vitor Faverani,
MarShon Brooks. Which guys do you want to keep, who should be traded? - Trade value of the vets: Gerald Wallace, Brandon Bass, Kris Humphries, Courtney Lee
- Is Jeff Green a Top 3 player on a title team?
- Competitive games, take the losses, but don't freak out with the wins... especially if it includes sticking it to LeBron James and Ray Allen
- Scout the opponenets. Who might be the next Garnett/Allen? (Will the Blazers/T-Wolves be bad enough to trade Aldridge/Love?)
- Get in on college basketball! Watch Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, Arizona, etc. Learn Andrew Wiggins, Julius Randle, Jabari Parker, Andrew Harrison, Joel Embiid, Aaron Gordon, and the like so you have a strong opinion come June's Draft.
There you have it. Good luck this year.

Jeff Green's Game Winner
Like it or not this was awesome. I don't care if you want the Celtics to go 0-82, the face LeBron James makes after Green's buzzer beater was more than worth it. For those of you who missed this on a Saturday night...

How Sincere Is This Mayor? How Poor Is His Tie Choice?
So apparently this Mayor of Toronto did crack. He definitely wore an NFL tie to his apology press conference. What the hell? This is a direct slap in the face to the Argonauts and every self respecting Canadien. Has to be his only tie right?
Let's put it on you, you have a high ranking job, and have just been busted for smoking crack. You need to get out in front of this, put people at ease. Grab your favorite American sports tie with all the logos (including the old-school Buccaneers and the highly debated Redskins) and shoe horn your fat ass into a suit, fake cry and boom, you should be set. P.R. 101.
I still think a Maple Leafs tie would have been the way to go. They go nuts for that team up there. Good luck next term guy (do they do terms in Canada?)

Fantasy Brief
Week 9 is here.
"A lot goin on. But there always is isn't there, a lot goin on." -Ricky Slade, Made
Pick Ups:
Kenny Stills, WR, Saints (unless you drafted him like this guy.)
Mike Brown, WR, Jaguars
Saints D/ST
Alex Smith, QB, Chiefs
Terrelle Pryor, QB, Raiders
Percy Harvin, WR, Seahawks (if you're lucky enough to be in a league where everyone is clueless.)
Bounce back potential: Dwayne Bowe. Bills give up a ton of WR points. Bowe has been awful, roll the dice this week.
Remember to tune in tomorrow:

Is Jigsaw The Most Recent Horror Villain Icon?
You got the Big 3 of Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, and Jason Voorhees. They've all been around for decades. Nearly 30 years for Freddy, longer for the other two.
If you want to throw out Norman Bates, Hannibal Lector, Leatherface, the Candyman and even little Chucky I'd be all for it. These are legendary horror movie villains.
Ghostface from Scream? The symbol is sure, but it's always someone different.
Not gonna give you the Leprechaun. Nope. I could be talked into Pinhead. But still that is less than 10 and they have all been around for awhile.
Speaking of awhile let's put Dracula and Frankenstein (or the Monster) in their own classic category.
Who is the newest legend? I don't think it's close. Jigsaw. The Saw movies were real good, especially the early ones. And Jigsaw belongs in this group. Hall of Famer.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween. I'll chill out on the horror movie talk now.
Horror Franchises
If you have to rank all of the horror movie franchises what would your Top 10 look like? You have to consider all of the films in the series, including the remakes and reimaginings (I think that's what they call it). So even if a movie like Halloween (1978) is the best how much does that Busta Rhymes one or the Rob Zombie sequel hurt it?
Basically all horrors movies are part of franchises so it's all good. I've been watching a bunch of horror movies this month so I wanted to throw out there the best series. Did I already do this? Probably. But here are the best franchises in order.
1. Halloween
2. Scream
3. Saw
4. Evil Dead
5. Romero's Living Dead
6. A Nightmare on Elm St.
7. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
8. Silence of the Lambs
9. Friday the 13th
10. Final Destination
