My Top 5 QBs Right Now
Former Texas QB and NFL backup (CBS analyst as well) Chris Simms was on Felger & Mazz this afternoon where he discussed his Top 5 QBs.
CHRIS SIMMS' TOP 5 QBs:
1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Andrew Luck
3. Ben Roethlisberger
4. Russell Wilson
5. Peyton Manning
RICH KEEFE'S TOP 5 QBs:
1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Tom Brady
3. Peyton Manning
4. Andrew Luck
5. Philip Rivers
And who could forget...
RON JAWORSKI'S BEST QB OF ALL-TIME
1. Colin Kaepernick
But I don't get Brady not being in someone's Top 5. He doesn't have to be 1, doesn't have to be 2. But outside the Top 5? Rapelisberger? Russell Wilson? And if you don't like old guys, Peyton Manning? I'm lost. Simms was spewing stuff about talent. The most talented guys aren't always the best. Jeff George. Etc. Makes for good talk though I guess.

Rookie WRs Have Been Strong, To Quite Strong This Year
We knew it was a loaded WR class in this past draft and these guys have not disappointed.
Five were drafted in the 1st round..
Sammy Watkins, 4th overall, Buffalo Bills
Mike Evans, 7th overall, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Odell Beckham Jr., 12th overall, New York Giants
Brandin Cooks, 20th overall, New Orleans Saints
Kelvin Benjamin, 28th overall, Carolina Panthers
Evans is on a streak of 3 straight games with at least 100 yards receiving and a TD... something that hasn't happened since Randy Moss back in 1998. Evans is currently 10th in the league in rec. yards.
Benjamin is the #1 WR for Carolina, 13th in the NFL in yards to go along with 8 TDs.
Watkins, Beckham, and Cooks have all fought through some injuries (Cooks now on IR) but have all shown flashes of being just nasty.
Non 1st rounders who look good...
Jordan Matthews, 42nd overall, Philadelphia Eagles
Martavis Bryant, 118th overall, Pittsburgh Steelers
Davante Adams, 53rd overall, Green Bay Packers
John Brown, 91st overall, Arizona Cardinals
Allen Robinson, 61st overall, Jacksonville Jaguars
Allen Hurns, undrafted, Jacksonville Jaguars
Matthews is turning into a beast in Philly, Bryant got a late start but slapped together 4 straight ridiculous games, John Brown has been a slick option out in Arizona. Robinson was the leading receiver in Jax before getting hurt, Hurns also had some monster games. Adams is showing promise in that high scoring attack up in Green Bay.
That's 11 WRs who have been productive this year. And here some other guys I still like (more than say an Aaron Dobson or Josh Boyce...)
Marqise Lee, 39th overall, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jarvis Landry, 63rd overall, Miami Dolphins
Donte Moncrief, 90th overall, Indianapolis Colts
Taylor Gabriel, undrafted, Cleveland Browns

Rand University
The latest 30 for 30, "Rand University" ran last night, and to no surprise I loved it.
Of course it could have been Moss highlights for an hour, him talking for an hour, or just flashing his stats for an hour and I would have loved it. Now there wasn't a lot of ground breaking stuff (especially if you're a Moss fan) but a lot of great insight and interviews with Moss himself and many people in his life including high school teammates, college coaches, etc.
So we have now seen individual 30 for 30s on:
Randy Moss
Bo Jackson
Len Bias
Allen Iverson
Ricky Williams
Wayne Gretzky
Chris Herren
Todd Marinovich
Ben Wilson
Fernando Valenzuela
Marcus Dupree
I'm sure I'm missing some, I haven't seen the Brian Bosworth one yet.
Who else needs one? My personal picks...
Terrell Owens
Shawn Kemp
Barry Sanders
Deion Sanders
Josh Hamilton
Stephon Marbury
Junior Seau
Sean Taylor
Derrick Thomas
Charlie Ward

Week 11 Fantasy Football Pick Ups
Firs off make sure that RB Montee Ball and RB Ryan Mathews are owned. These guys have been out for awhile with injury, maybe their original owner gave up due to multiple injuries/ bye weeks. These guys should be owned in all leagues.
RB C.J. Anderson, Denver Broncos
Ball is on his way back but now Ronnie Hillman is down (2 weeks). Anderson was great last week with 90 rushing yards and 73 receiving yards with a touchdown.
WR Jordan Matthews, Philadelphia Eagles
The rookie was probably drafted in most league (I did... and then dumped him), but could be available. He has had a TD in Week 9 and then a great night (7-138-2TD) on Monday Night with Mark Sanchez throwing him the ball. Eagles have a bunch of weapons but Matthews should continue to be in the mix.
TE Mychal Rivera, Oakland Raiders
Need a TE? You could do a lot worse than Rivera. 3 touchdowns in the last 2 weeks, and 21 catches over the last 3 games. Not too shabby.
D/ST Cleveland Browns
They've been better as of late and are sneaky a playoff team right now. But the reason for this pick up is their game (at home) against the Houston Texans this week and new starter Ryan Mallett. Gotta assume he is going to suck.

I Have Another Favorite TV Show: The Leftovers
I know I'm late to this one, but I am a fan of The Leftovers. I was in-between HBO subscriptions when it was on, I caught up in record time over the weekend, and after just 1 season (10 episodes) it's one of my favorite shows ever. (Yes I say this about most shows/things.) This show is legit though.
As Wikipedia.org describes the premise:
The Leftovers takes place three years after a global event in which many people disappeared, known as the "Sudden Departure", which caused the unexplainable disappearance of 140 million people, 2% of the world's population. The story focuses primarily on the Garvey family and their acquaintances in the fictional town of Mapleton, New York. Kevin Garvey is the Chief of Police. His wife, Laurie, has joined a cult called the "Guilty Remnant". Their son, Tommy, has left home and college while their daughter, Jill, is acting out.
Crazy town. It's a different spin on the apocalypse theme. The world is still going on, minus 2% of the population. Everyone is effected by this, those who lost family and those who didn't. The characters are developed really well, great acting and a story that you get hooked in to immediately.
Netflix, On Demand, HBO Go, whatever you got, I recommend this one.

Week 10 Fantasy Football Pick Ups
RB Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
No jail time. 80 hours of community service. $4,000 fine. And your top priority on the waiver wire. A lot of teams held on to their 1st round pick, but after sitting out for almost 2 months some teams sent him packing. Well, pick him back up. No official word on when he will return, but Minnesota has their BYE week this weekend, and there is no real reason Goodell won't activate him. Will the Vikings? I'd say yes.
RB Terrence West, Cleveland Browns
Drafted, dropped, picked back up. That has been West's fantasy season. The rookie was very intriguing back in August, had some good games, had a healthy scratch and never really capitalized on the Ben Tate injury. Last week however? More touches that Tate & Crowell combined. It's a tricky situation, but West needs to be owned and against Cincy this week, started.
QB Mark Sanchez, Philadelphia Eagles
I know, I know. Mark Sanchez? He did throw 2 touchdowns in relief last week and actually looked good in the preseason (I only reference preseason if it serves my point.) Fact is, Nick Foles is out for awhile and that Chip Kelly offense can probably run (relatively smooth) with anyone under center. McCoy, Maclin, Matthews, Sproles, Ertz, etc. Sanchez is at the very least a solid bye week fill-in.
D/ST Dallas Cowboys
Playing Jacksonville (in London) this week. There you go.
