Opening Day!!! Below are picks for division winners, the LCS pennants, and our WS Champion picks. Should be fun to look back in October and see how close either of us actually came.
A sports blog for the American working man, because that's who I am, and that's who I care about.

#SmearCampaign
Our buddy Billy Lanni started a Nationwide trend today on twitter. Jon Lester signed with the Cubs (and NOT the Red Sox), so Lanni knew it was only a matter of time until the smear campaign would be out in full force. (See the job on Terry Francona from a couple years back.) This is how it started...
"Lester was a terrible clubhouse guy." We are the Red Sox Front Office and we approve this message. #SmearCampaign

He continued with ones like this...
Lester thought House Party 2 was better than the original. #SmearCampaign

The thing really took off, all day with this... Here were my contributions to the cause.

You get the idea. And it's fun for the whole family!

Clark the Cub (via Deadspin)
The Chicago Cubs decided they needed a mascot after 1,000 losing seasons. Something to really get the morale back. Clark the Cub was introduced and the folks at Deadspin wasted little time. The picture above is all them. I laugh every single time.
I think it's the face that really does it for me, that or the hairy genitals.
But apparently Deadspin readers weren't the only ones enjoying the picture. Here's CSN's take...
