The final week of the fantasy football regular season is upon us. Here are two QBs I like this weekend and two I do not.
LIKE:
Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. Giants
Fitz is coming off a 4 TD performance, this "road" game is in a very familiar atmosphere, he has Marshall & Decker and a terrible NYG secondary. The bearded assassin (new nickname? sure.) also runs a bit and never kills you with a terrible (fantasy) game.
Marcus Mariota vs. Jaguars
The rookie has had 2 different 4 TD pass games, he tossed 3 last week. In his first game against Jax he did not throw a TD but ran for one on a highlight reel play. That was also on a Thursday night and in Jacksonville where the Jags were wearing urine soaked uniforms, so that couldn't help.
DON'T LIKE:
Philip Rivers vs. Broncos
Denver is the best in the league against opposing QBs. No one has thrown for 300 yards (Stafford 282 is season-high). Just a brutal match up for Rivers who has been real good this year. I'd sit him down this week.
Drew Brees vs. Panthers
Another tough match up here, and Brees is coming off a game in which his offense failed to score a touchdown for the first time since the Reagan administration (not entirely true). He kinda sucks now. He's had 2 really good games this year, but for the most part is cooked... and not Brandin Cooks. Brees has more in the tank than say Peyton Manning but it can't be much.

My Top 5 QBs Right Now
Former Texas QB and NFL backup (CBS analyst as well) Chris Simms was on Felger & Mazz this afternoon where he discussed his Top 5 QBs.
CHRIS SIMMS' TOP 5 QBs:
1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Andrew Luck
3. Ben Roethlisberger
4. Russell Wilson
5. Peyton Manning
RICH KEEFE'S TOP 5 QBs:
1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Tom Brady
3. Peyton Manning
4. Andrew Luck
5. Philip Rivers
And who could forget...
RON JAWORSKI'S BEST QB OF ALL-TIME
1. Colin Kaepernick
But I don't get Brady not being in someone's Top 5. He doesn't have to be 1, doesn't have to be 2. But outside the Top 5? Rapelisberger? Russell Wilson? And if you don't like old guys, Peyton Manning? I'm lost. Simms was spewing stuff about talent. The most talented guys aren't always the best. Jeff George. Etc. Makes for good talk though I guess.

Manning is still the top guy, Rodgers and maybe Brees will go in 1st round or early 2nds. After that there is a gap to me. I'd wait awhile. QBs ranked 4-13 may not be separated by all that much.
The health of Tom Brady's weapons scare me. The health of Robert Griffin III himself, scares me. Cam Newton doesn't have any weapons. Nick Foles will throw more INTs this year, but how many more?
Manziel and Bridgewater are the only rookies on the Top 32 as we stand right now mid-August. They should start Week 1 but we have to wait and see. Little value in normal leagues, but dynasties or those stupid 2-QB leagues they could be drafted.
I'll have RB - WR - TE - Sleepers - Rookies throughout the month.
The Sports Hub Fantasy Football Show starts on Sunday, August 24th (8:00-10:00am), and will run every Sunday throughout the regular season.
