Besse's Brief Blog: No Mercy Edition

I'm spending my Columbus Day Weekend doing some business on the college circuit so I'll be keeping this one short and sweet. Also, my flag football team is undefeated heading into the playoffs and we've won half of our games by slaughter rule so that fact that I'm still taking the time to write these blogs says a lot about me as a person. Let's get this going.

Pre-Show

Baron Corbin vs. Jack Swagger

Get Jack Swagger the fuck off of my TV. Make the guy with a chance of a future win this and don't fuck it up by dragging this feud out and making it an actual thing.

Prediction: Baron Corbin

Main Card

Curt Hawkins vs. TBD

It would be really weird to have Curt Hawkins lose his re-debut here, unless they're debuting somebody else as well. Then it would make sense. But it's probably Kane.

Prediction: Curt Hawkins

Nikki Bella vs. Carmella

This feud has been in the making ever since Nikki Bella came back and now we're starting to get some action. Nikki could demolish Carmella here, but I think the Queen of Staten Island steals a win to get the ball rolling on this.

Prediction: Carmella

Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt

What the fuck is this? I really thought we were getting a top notch program between these two guys but it's just been an incredibly awkward game of hide and go seek. One thing they have done well though is keep the winner of this feud in the dark. I really have no clue who is going to win this since both guys need wins pretty badly. But Bray did attack Orton at the last PPV so I think The Viper will get one back, unless Brother Bray is actually getting a push for once in his life.

Prediction: Randy Orton

The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler -- Intercontinental Championship/Dolph's Retirement

Apparently Dolph Ziggler might actually be retiring from in-ring action and stepping into an agent role, so this could be a legit send off.. sad!
The Miz has been killing it on this run and I don't want him to lose the belt. Of course, with the retirement stipulation, who knows if it's actually true, so Dolph COULD win, but if he really wants to take a step back then lets keep the Miz Train rolling!
P.S. What happens if the match ends in a Miz DQ? Miz retains and Dolph stays? HM.

Prediction: The Miz Retains

Heath Slater & Rhyno (c) vs. The Usos -- Smackdown Tag Team Championships

It was fun while it lasted but The Usos are so obviously taking this one.
At least Heath got the new pool and double wide trailer. RIP in peace to the greatest tag team title run in WWE history.

Prediction: The Usos

Becky Lynch (c) vs. Alexa Bliss -- Smackdown Women's Championship

Alexa Bliss and her Harley Quinn look really gets me going but she just isn't winning this one. Not no way, not no how.

Prediction: Becky Lynch Retains

AJ Styles (c) vs. Dean Ambrose vs. John Cena --WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Cena will tie Flair's record eventually, but now is not the time. AJ Styles is having one of the greatest years in wrestling of all time (don't @ me) and taking the belt off of him this quickly just doesn't feel right for anybody in this. Styles has beat Cena clean and currently has his number and Ambrose is coming off of a somewhat underwhelming title run although he has looked a lot better since dropping the title. Maybe he really does thrive as the guy chasing the title instead of holding it?

Prediction: AJ Styles Retains

You know where to find me.
