BIG NEWS: WWE Suspends Roman Reigns After Violating Wellness Policy
Believe That! Today the WWE announced over Twitter that Joe Anoa'i (Roman Reigns) will be suspended for 30 days, effective immediately, for a violation of the company's wellness policy.
What exactly did he do? Who knows, the company rarely ever leaks that information out. It could be anything from smoking weed to using steroids, all that matters is that he did something that isn't allowed and he got caught.
Luckily for him (and the company, I guess), the Triple Threat match at Battleground between the former members of The Shield has already been set, and the event takes place a few days AFTER Roman's suspension is lifted, so he can still compete in that. But how does this affect the build up for the match? I personally found it odd to have this main event a "B Show" PPV considering this is a dream match built for WrestleMania but with Summerslam right around the corner it seemed like something funny would happen anyways to at least carry the feud into Brooklyn anyways. But with Roman being so out of favor with the crowd and now being handed this suspension, how does this hurt him moving forward?
Sadly, today is Tuesday, so we'll have to wait until at least next week's Raw to find out anything really, but it'll be interesting to see how Vince and the boys will work around this one.
