Victor Ortiz gets pizza thrown at face, should definitely retire

So Victor Ortiz fought Andre Berto this past weekend in a rematch of their 2011 title fight. These guys killed each other. Berto was 27-0, but Ortiz came away with a UD which led to his fight against Money Mayweather, which we all remember for this:

Anyway, Ortiz has been on a bit of KO streak, as coming into the fight his last five had been stopped by KO or RTD. Unfortunately, he was on the wrong side of three of those. Make that four.

I've said for a while Ortiz should retire. He looks shot. I thought he looked shot in the Mayweather fight, even felt it during 24/7 in the buildup to the fight. I think the Berto fight took everything out of him. But what happened after his loss this weekend should be the tipping point.



Having a pizza box thrown at your face, by a guy who was a fan but now hates you because you're a bum, might be the most insulting, degrading thing that can happen to an athlete. This is one of your guys, and he's so offended by how much you suck he throws all national ties and loyalty out the window and says "Fuck it." Tosses his empty pizza box at you and basically tells you to get the fuck out of his face.

Ortiz can't show his face in a public after this, nevermind a boxing ring. Time to hang em up, Vicious.
